Introduction to Cold Water Swimming

Why not come along and try the latest craze of cold water swimming/ dipping? This sessions will be fun packed and informative covering everything you need to know around cold water swimming. Our 2hr session will include the following: Registration and introduction. Freebies which include swim cap & special beanie hat plus more. What winter swim kit to buy and where to buy it. Safety and hazards around cold water swimming. Breathing techniques. Important factor of cold water swimming/dipping. Psychology and wellbeing benefits of cold water swimming/dipping Physiology and the after drop. Acclimatisation and what to look for. Groups, venues & cold water buddies to hook up with in your area. A group swim with fully qualified open water lifeguard and 1st aid safety cover. Double dip for wetsuit winter swimmers so you can experience true immersion. Hot drink and a selection of cakes will be given at the end of your swim. What will I need to bring? Swim wear, we can provide shorty wetsuits up to size 18 at no extra cost. Gloves are provided Neoprene boots or socks (anything above 3m) if you choose to wear them. Ear plugs. Big towel to get dry with afterwards. plastic bag for your wet stuff. Crocs or alternative wet shoes/socks Warm clothes. Boots with thick socks, hat and gloves for after your swim We are also sell Swim Secure tow floats at a cheaper rate than most outlets. The venue is located on a private lake in Bury, all details will be sent out upon payment received. Please note we operate a no refund policy. Cancellation Policy

To cancel or reschedule please contact us: Holidays: 21 days prior to your swim camp. Guided solo swims: 21 days prior to your swim. Triskeli micro events: 21 days prior to your event. Workshops & 121 sessions: 14 days prior to your session. Please note we reserve the right to retain an admin. All admin fees are varied dependant on the type of booking made.
